Softball Recap: Buhl Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Buhl and Filer have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Buhl Indians came up short against the Filer Wildcats, falling 16-10. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 16-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Addyson Ridley was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jenna Ambrose, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Buhl's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Filer, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Buhl will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kimberly at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. As for Filer, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Cole Valley Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
