Will Whatley posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Whatley's strong effort led Auburn over Bryant and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled on Friday. The Tigers are 8-1 against the Hurricanes going back to March of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
