Basketball Recap: Compass Academy Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Stockton, Compass Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stanton Buffaloes, sneaking past 45-43. Compass Academy's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braydn Garcia, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Armendarez, who earned 11 points.

Compass Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Stanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Compass Academy will be playing at home against Brownfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Brownfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Stanton, they will head out to take on Lamesa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
