Rabun County (Tiger, Ga.) jumped out to an early lead against
Riverside Military Academy (Gainesville, Ga.) and never looked back on the way to a 42-20 victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats put up seven points in the opening frame. Rabun County scored on a touchdown run by
Daniel Dailey.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, RC led 28-12 at the half.
The Tiger school expanded its lead to 23 points entering the fourth quarter. The Wildcats scored once in the quarter on a
Wes Holcombe touchdown pass to
Clint Scott.
Elijah Holyfield made a difference for the Eagles. The freshman ran for three touchdowns.
Holcombe was the top performer for Rabun County. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
Riverside Military Academy (0-5) will play a AA Region 8 game against Union County next week, while Rabun County (4-1) will take on Jefferson also in a AA Region 8 game.
