Softball Recap: Mount Pleasant Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mount Pleasant extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 13-4. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Parkwood Wolf Pack. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kallie Foil was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Savannah Coln was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Sophia Nall was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Mount Pleasant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

As for Parkwood, they moved to 12-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but Mount Pleasant's pitcher proved too tough.

On Parkwood's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayce Marvel, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Looking ahead, Parkwood will head out on the road to square off against Cuthbertson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Pleasant will be paying especially close attention to the Wolf Pack's contest: after the Wolf Pack face off against Andrew Jackson, they'll take on Mount Pleasant again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
