Basketball Recap: Dreher Comes Up Short

Dreher played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Camden Bulldogs, falling 82-39. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Dreher's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kynadi Breland, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards, and Raigan Adams, who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points. Breland is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Camden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayona Alexander, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Braylin Mungo was another key player, shooting 47% from the field on her way to 19 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists.

Dreher's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Camden, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

Coincidentally, Dreher and Camden will both be playing Richland Northeast the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will host the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 5th.
