Basketball Game Preview: St. John's Bluejays vs. Marion Local Flyers

St. John is on a 15-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Marion Local is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The St. John's Bluejays will welcome the Marion Local Flyers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Marion Local likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, St. John's didn't have too much trouble with Coldwater as they won 64-49. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Marion Local strolled past Van Wert with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 51-37.

Marion Local's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for St. John's, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.

St. John's was able to grind out a solid win over Marion Local when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 57-47. Does St. John's have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marion Local turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
