Baseball Recap: Pierson Comes Up Short

Pierson lost against Babylon on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Whalers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Whalers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pierson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Krotman, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Pierson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Babylon, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

While Pierson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
