Kimora Ross commands the offense for a Plainsmen win

Recap: Evergreen Plainsmen vs. Mountain View Thunder

There's no place like home for the Evergreen Plainsmen, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They took down Mountain View 58-40 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given Evergreen's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Mountain View is ranked 50th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evergreen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kimora Ross, who scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Wright, who scored 16 points.

Despite the loss, Mountain View saw an underclassman step up: Mylee Thompson scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Thompson scored a full 37.5% of Mountain View's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Wright, who scored six points.

Evergreen's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Mountain View, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

Evergreen will head out on the road to face off against Battle Ground at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Battle Ground is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Mountain View, they will be playing at home against Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
