Soccer Game Preview: Brownwood vs. Castleberry

We've got a battle between Lions coming up.

Brownwood is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Stephenville on Friday. They fell just short of the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in January.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Castleberry, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Eagle Mountain on Friday.

Castleberry hit Eagle Mountain with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alyssa Rosales, Joselyn Salazar, and Alexa Rivera.

The loss snapped Brownwood's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-4-1 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six matchups. As for Castleberry, their win bumped their record up to 5-8-3.
