Basketball Recap: Calvert Hall Wins Going Away Against New Hope Academy Regional

It was a proper cat-fight when Calvert Hall challenged New Hope Academy Regional on Thursday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 74-51 margin over the Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

New Hope Academy Regional lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bryan Che, who shot 71% from the field en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Legend Wylie, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Calvert Hall has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 83.5 points this season. As for New Hope Academy Regional, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Calvert Hall will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Loyola Blakefield at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for New Hope Academy Regional, they will square off against Anacostia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
