Baseball Recap: Genesee Comes Up Short

Genesee lost to Morrice back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orioles. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joey Abbe made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Abbe is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Genesee now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Morrice, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Genesee will challenge Flint Southwestern Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morrice, they will take on Bentley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
