Baseball Recap: Bernards Comes Up Short

Bernards came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat last Sunday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Delaware Valley Terriers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Mountaineers have struggled against the Terriers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Bernards' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Delaware Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Delaware Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Princeton on the 16th. Hopefully Bernards payed attention to the Terriers' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Terriers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
