Volleyball Recap: Sotomayor WILDCATS vs. Clark Cougars
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sotomayor can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Clark Cougars on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the WILDCATS have suffered since September 30th.
Sotomayor's loss came despite strong showings from Zoey Aguayo and Julieta Munoz. Aguayo had nine assists and five digs, while Munoz had ten assists and three digs.
Clark was led to victory by Leena Gonzales and Aubree Campos. Gonzales had eight digs and two aces, while Campos had nine digs and two assists. That's the most assists Campos has posted since back in August.
Sotomayor's loss dropped their record down to 22-20. As for Clark, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 24-17 record this season.
