Basketball Recap: Christian Academy Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northmont Thunderbolts. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Saints came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 89th in South Carolina, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 474th in Ohio).

Christian Academy's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5. As for Northmont, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Academy will host Florence Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northmont, they will welcome Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northmont is facing Fairmont at the right time seeing as Fairmont is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
