Bryant had won 15 straight games dating back to last season and Camarion Bead did his part to make it 16 on Thursday. The Hornets came out on top against the Maize South Mavericks by a score of 55-45 for which the team can thank Bead, who went 11-for-20 on his way to 31 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Rj Young, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season.

Cy Stucky and Paxton Scott certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Stucky shot 80% from the field en route to 16 points, while Scott went 6-for-14 to rack up 15 points and five rebounds.

Bryant's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Maize South, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Bryant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-56 victory against Millwood on the 5th. As for Maize South, they have also already played their next game, a 53-46 win against Battle on the 5th.
