Softball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Laingsburg Wolfpack, falling 11-0.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Laingsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Northwest will head out to take on Marshall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mounties' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redhawks have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Laingsburg, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-6 victory against Portland on the 2nd.
