Softball Recap: Troy Christian Comes Up Short

Troy Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-2 to the Preble Shawnee Arrows. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Arrows from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Troy Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Preble Shawnee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Troy Christian will challenge Dayton Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The WARRIORS have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.1 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Preble Shawnee, they will face off against Mississinawa Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blackhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Arrows surely won't give up without a fight.
