Recap: Dayton Bulldogs vs. Pomeroy Pirates

This season hasn't been kind to the Dayton Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They fell 35-24 to Pomeroy on Saturday. Dayton has not had much luck with Pomeroy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Dayton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Marissa Tupling, who scored nine points, and Peyton Benavides who scored nine points. That was a full 37.5% of Dayton's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Dayton bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Pomeroy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Dayton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Prescott at 6:00 p.m. Prescott comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Pomeroy, they will head out on the road to square off against Oakesdale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakesdale presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pomeroy in Washington (Oakesdale is ranked 91st, while Pomeroy is ranked 281st).
