After having lost a blowout in their previous game against McClintock, Alhambra was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the North Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in March, they had to take a 20-2 defeat.

Alhambra saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillyana Reyes, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Alhambra is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat Alhambra by a score of 14-1 on Thursday.
