Soccer Game Preview: Hubbard vs. Kelly

The Hubbard Greyhounds will venture away from home to take on the Kelly Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hubbard's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Kelly's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Kelly better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Hubbard's game last Monday is any indication, that's when Hubbard really gets things going. The Greyhounds' defense stepped up to hand Agricultural Science a 3-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hubbard.

Meanwhile, Kelly won against Northtown on Friday with one goal and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Monday. The Trojans had just enough and edged out Farragut 1-0. Kelly haven't had any issues with Farragut recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hubbard's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Kelly, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Everything went Hubbard's way against Kelly when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Hubbard made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greyhounds since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
