Volleyball Recap: New Lisbon's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

New Lisbon came into Saturday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Coulee Region Christian on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rockets also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

While New Lisbon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23.

Heidi Mathes paced New Lisbon's offense, picking up five kills. Mathes got some help from Bristol Dummer and her seven assists. Mathes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

New Lisbon's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Coulee Region Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. New Lisbon will venture away from home to square off against Royall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coulee Region Christian, they will head out to face off against La Farge at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
