Basketball Recap: Redington Takes a Loss

Redington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 51-38 to the Homer Mariners. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Redington's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Homer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12.

Coming up, Redington and Nikiski will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Redington will be up against Nikiski's rather soft defense (which has allowed 70.68 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Homer, they will take on Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
