Volleyball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Duluth East Greyhounds. The Hilltoppers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Duluth East can attribute much of their success to Bella Peterson, who had 18 digs and two assists. Those 18 digs gave Peterson a new career-high. Alexis Peters was another key player, getting five digs and four aces.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Duluth East, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duluth East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Roseville on the 17th.
