Basketball Game Preview: North Providence Cougars vs. Cranston West Falcons

The North Providence Cougars will take on the Cranston West Falcons in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Providence will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, North Providence earned a 52-42 victory over Rogers.

Meanwhile, Cranston West had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed by Juanita Sanchez Complex to the tune of 75-47 on Monday.

North Providence better keep an eye on Nate Conca. He was instrumental in Cranston West's win, putting up 24 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Noah Germain, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Cranston West was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Juanita Sanchez Complex only posted seven assists.

North Providence's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Cranston West, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

North Providence was taken down by Cranston West 70-40 when the teams last played back in February. Can North Providence avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
