Baseball Game Preview: Tecumseh Braves vs. Evansville Reitz Panthers

Tecumseh is 0-6 against Evansville Reitz since April of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Braves will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Neither Tecumseh nor Evansville Reitz posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Tecumseh managed to slip by Mt. Vernon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Braves lost 7-1 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. Braves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Tuesday.

Tecumseh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor George, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Evansville Reitz's offense. They fell just short of Evansville Mater Dei by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Wildcats since May 20, 2021.

Evansville Reitz has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Tecumseh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
