Basketball Recap: Katahdin Comes Up Short

Katahdin suffered their closest loss since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Ashland Hornets by a score of 40-37. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 41-34.

Katahdin's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10. As for Ashland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Katahdin Cougars take on the Fort Fairfield Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ashland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
