Baseball Recap: Pahranagat Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pahranagat Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past the Beaver Dam Diamondback 15-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Diamondback: they've now won nine in a row.

Keadin (CJ) Christian was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Pahranagat Valley got a massive performance out of Paysen Jones, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Jones has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bronson Fiatoa, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Pahranagat Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .579. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pahranagat Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Beaver Dam, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
