Basketball Game Preview: Green Hope Falcons vs. Cary Imps

Two dominant guards in Abigail Brown and Kyndall Brewington are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Green Hope Falcons will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Cary Imps at 6:00 p.m. Green Hope will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Green Hope humbled Apex with a 66-34 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Green Hope's points. Another player making a difference was Rachael Baldyga, who posted six points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Cary came up short against Apex Friendship on Tuesday and fell 47-34. While losing is never fun, the Imps can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Patriots are ranked 58th).

Green Hope's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. As for Cary, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Everything went Green Hope's way against Cary in their previous matchup last Monday, as Green Hope made off with a 46-26 victory. Does Green Hope have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cary turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
