League recap: Napavine climbs in state rankings with win

Napavine moved up to 151 from 178 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2B Central. The Tigers were able to make move up by besting Mossyrock 28-0.

Morton/White Pass extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating North Beach, 48-8. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Timberwolves.

Morton/White Pass' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rylon Kolb threw for 75 and two touchdowns and Ben Powell had 58 yards receiving. On the ground Brian Reynolds chipped in 179 yards. Bryson Goble helped Morton/White Pass' passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.

Morton/White Pass' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Timberwolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kolb has thrown for 700 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Powell has 13 catches for 284 yards. Reynolds leads the league in rushing with 917 yards.

Reynolds of the Aaron Poquette's team is only 83 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.

A big matchup in 2B Central this week will be when the Timberwolves take on Mossyrock. At the moment, Morton/White Pass is in first, while Curtis Spahn's team is in fourth.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Timberwolves take on the Vikings. Morton/White Pass has allowed 33 points this season, while Mossyrock has given up 155. The Timberwolves allowed 8 points last week as they bested the Hyaks.

There should be lots of points scored when Morton/White Pass and the Vikings face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Timberwolves comes in having scored 372 this season, while Mossyrock has scored 264. Morton/White Pass scored 48 points last week as it defeated North Beach.

Onalaska and Winlock played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Onalaska eventually emerging with a 45-42 victory.
