Valley View had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Waynesville, falling 8-2. The defeat continues a trend for Valley View in their meetings with Waynesville: they've now lost seven in a row.

Abbey Heater and Hayden Sorrell scored both of Valley View's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.
