Volleyball Recap: Kylee Droessler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Potosi over Highland

Potosi lost against Highland back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chieftains took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Potosi couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Highland a tough time in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 28-30, 25-16.

Several Chieftains players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kylee Droessler, who had 48 digs and two aces. Droessler has been hot, having posted 16 or more digs the last five times she's played. Manhattyn Udelhofen was another key player, getting 35 digs and nine kills.

BRINLEIGH BOLLANT was a one-woman wrecking crew For Highland. as she had 17 digs and three aces.

Potosi's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Highland, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, Potosi will be taking part in a tournament against Belleville at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Highland, they will take on Iowa-Grant in a tournament on Saturday.
