Softball Recap: McDonough Takes a Loss

McDonough and Huntingtown squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but McDonough had to settle for second. They lost 18-0 to the Hurricanes. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

McDonough has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Huntingtown, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

McDonough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Huntingtown, they will take on Calvert on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight.
