Country Christian put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Salem Academy Crusaders a 1-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Country Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Hiebenthal, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Hiebenthal has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Country Christian pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Salem Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
