The Paxton Bobcats will face off against the Cottondale Hornets at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Paxton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Paxton took a loss when they played away from home back in March, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed back in March. They came out on top against Pensacola by a score of 5-1.

Paxton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phillip Bearden, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Bearden hit this season.

Meanwhile, Cottondale came up short against Bozeman on Friday and fell 7-2. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Paxton's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Cottondale, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Paxton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cottondale struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
