University came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Westchester Comets, falling 12-5. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Dylan Morales was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Morales wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Santos, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Evan Han was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

University now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Westchester, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: University beat the Comets by a score of 8-5 on Friday.
