 Portal is 4-0 against Wheeler County since April of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Portal Panthers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Wheeler County Bulldogs at 5:00  p.m. Portal is strutting in with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 4.3  goals per game this season.
 Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought  contest, but Portal had to settle for  a  3-2 loss against Screven County. It was the first time  this season that Portal let down their fans at home.

 Meanwhile, Wheeler County narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Johnson County  2-1.
 Portal's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 11-2-1. As for Wheeler County, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-3.
 Portal beat Wheeler County by a goal  in their previous matchup  back in March, winning  2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Portal since the  squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
