Basketball Recap: Chris Bateman and Caden Young Secure Win for Texas Institute

Texas Institute lost to Dallas Christian Academy back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Texas Institute walked away with a 51-40 victory over Dallas Christian Academy.

Leading Texas Institute to victory were Caden Young and Chris Bateman. Young posted 16 points, while Bateman went 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points and five boards. That's the most rebounds Bateman has posted since back in December of 2024. Hayden Sneed was another key player, putting up six points.

Texas Institute is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Dallas Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Texas Institute has already played their next contest, a 63-10 win against Hill on the 12th. As for Dallas Christian Academy, they will challenge Texas Institute at 6:33 p.m. on Tuesday.
