Softball Recap: Westborough Comes Up Short

Westborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Shrewsbury Colonials. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colonials this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 two weeks ago.

Westborough's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Shrewsbury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Westborough will head out to face off against Leominster at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shrewsbury, they will challenge Wachusett Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
