Soccer Game Preview: St. Anne-Pacelli vs. Brookstone

The St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Brookstone Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Anne-Pacelli is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

St. Anne-Pacelli's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Calvary Christian with a sharp 10-0 win. St. Anne-Pacelli might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Calvary Christian from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Addison Burnett led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brookstone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Calvary Christian on Thursday as Brookstone made off with a 5-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Brookstone in their matchups with Calvary Christian: they've now won seven in a row.

St. Anne-Pacelli's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those five games. As for Brookstone, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

St. Anne-Pacelli came up short against Brookstone when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 2-0. Can St. Anne-Pacelli avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
