Baseball Recap: Exeter Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Exeter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Reedley Pirates on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Monarchs: when they faced off against the Pirates on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Jacob Molina was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Exeter is undefeated when Molina posts two or more runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cade McElmoyl, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Exeter's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 18-9. As for Reedley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Exeter nor Reedley have any future games scheduled.
