Softball Recap: Stevenson Has No Trouble Against Goldendale

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seton Catholic, Stevenson was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Goldendale Timberwolves with a sharp 16-4 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Sophia Nordgaard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cayden Hulsey-Bible, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Townsend, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Stevenson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Stevenson's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Goldendale, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Stevenson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Goldendale: the pair will be back at it again later today.
