Tuli Tagovailoa-Amosa led a massive upset at the high school level as
Kahuku knocked off defending national champion St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) 30-23.

Tagovailoa-Amosa threw for a touchdown and ran for an 18-yard score in the final 30 seconds to give Kahuku the victory.
In addition to his connection to Tua and Taulia, Tuli's brother Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa played defensive end at Notre Dame and spent the 2022 season on the practice squad for the Las Vegas Raiders.
"Just seeing their work ethic and how they do things, it's a blessing and it just motivates me to do the same," Tagovailoa-Amosa said of his fooball-playing family members to
KHON2 back in 2021. "I took a lot of things (from being around them), but just being confident, having faith that when you go out there, you gotta go 100 percent and be the best player out there."
Tagovailoa-Amosa began his high school career at
Thompson (Alabaster, Ala.) before moving back to Oahu and playing for
Kapolei as a sophomore and junior. He made the move to Kahuku and now has the Red Raiders ranked No. 9 nationally by MaxPreps after the upset of Bosco.
