Oasis Academy proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pershing County Mustangs, sneaking past 9-8. The Bighorns haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Oasis Academy got a big performance out of Kayden White, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases White has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryder McNabb, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

White wasn't the only one making solid contact: Oasis Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matchups.

Oasis Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Pershing County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oasis Academy beat Pershing County by a score of 6-5 later that day.
