Softball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

Lyons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyline Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Monday.

Lyons' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Skyline, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Skyline, they will welcome Spearville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Thunderbirds' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Lancers have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
