High school basketball rankings: State Champions Invitational set to shape final MaxPreps Top 25

The 2022-23 high school basketball season enters its final week of play as three nationally-ranked teams compete in the State Champions Invitational beginning Thursday.

The six-team, single elimination tournament in Washington, D.C., features first-round matchups pitting No. 13 Roselle Catholic (Roselle, N.J.) vs. Curtis (University Place, Wash.) and Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) vs. Yazoo City (Miss.).

No. 17 Sidwell Friends (Washington, D.C.) will meet the winner between Corner Canyon and Yazoo City in the first semifinal while No. 19 Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) takes on the winner of the other first-round contest.

Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.) remained at No. 3 despite a first-round loss to National Top 10 No. 3 AZ Compass Prep (Chandler, Ariz.) at GEICO Nationals. Paul VI (Chantilly, Va.) dropped three spots to No. 9 after suffering a first-round loss to National Top 10 No. 1 Link Academy (Branson, Mo.).
