Baseball Recap: Piute Takes a Loss

If Piute was riding high fresh off their 16-3 takedown of Wayne on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunderbirds lost 15-4 to the Bryce Valley Mustangs on Friday. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Piute saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pendleton Bowler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. Another was Blake Dalton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Piute's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bryce Valley, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Piute wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-9 win against Tintic on the 9th. As for Bryce Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Altamont on the 8th.
