Castleberry barely beat Burkburnett the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Castleberry blew past Burkburnett 8-2 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Castleberry, bringing their record up to 14-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Burkburnett, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Castleberry will challenge Trimble Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Castleberry 2.9, Trimble Tech 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Burkburnett, they will face off against Decatur at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
