After flying high against Southeastern Local on Wednesday, Miami Trace came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marietta Tigers on Saturday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lauren Farrens paced Miami Trace's offense, picking up 24 kills. Farrens got some help from Kylie Yeazel and her 39 assists. Lauren Guess controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Miami Trace's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Marietta, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

Miami Trace didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against River View on the 11th. Marietta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
