Volleyball Recap: Lancaster Red Devils vs. Luray Bulldogs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lancaster walked away with it. They came out on top against the Luray Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Lancaster walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21.

Alexis VerMeer paced Lancaster's offense, picking up 24 kills. VerMeer got some help from Rory Lally and her 35 assists. VerMeer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lancaster has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Luray, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-13.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will challenge Middlesex on Tuesday. Luray does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
